This notice explains what personal data sheriefelsayed.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. The site is run by Sherief Elsayed, who is responsible for this data. To contact him about it, use the form on the home page.
What is collected
- If you use the contact form: your name, email address, the subject and your message.
- When you visit: the company that hosts the site keeps technical records of each request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These are needed to deliver the site and keep it secure.
The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Its fonts are served from the site itself, so no third party learns of your visit through them.
Please don't send medical details through the form. Patients should book through spinesurgeondubai.com.
How it is used
Your contact details and message are used only to read and reply to your enquiry and to keep a record of the correspondence. They are never sold, shared for marketing or added to a mailing list.
Legal basis
Under UK and EU data protection law, the basis for handling enquiries is legitimate interests: responding to a message you chose to send. The basis for the hosting records is legitimate interests in running a secure website.
Who else handles it
- Web3Forms delivers the contact form by email. It operates from India, stores submissions encrypted on Amazon Web Services and deletes them within three years.
- Google provides the email inbox where enquiries arrive.
- Vercel hosts the site and keeps the technical records described above.
These providers may process data in the United States, India and other countries outside the UK, the EU and the UAE.
How long it is kept
Enquiries are kept for as long as they are needed to deal with them and any follow-up. Hosting records are kept by Vercel for a short period under its own policy.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how it is used. Use the contact form and say what you need.
If you are in the UK and unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Elsewhere, you can contact your local data protection authority.
